Understanding ResourceAttrs and binding to Common.Configuration.Design

Nov 6, 2014 at 1:58 PM
I'm looking over Topaz with an eye toward removing the dependency on the core enterprise library binary. I've written this kind of functionality in the past, and I love the idea of gaining community experience in this space. The part I dislike is buying into all of EntLib for this section of functionality.

With that in mind - it appears that the Resource...Attribute classes are the main force driving the integration - is that correct? Is there something more I'm missing? I see a hard using against Common.Configuration.Design and then the associated Attributes from that namespace.

Thanks,

The dependence on Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Common is limited to the TransientFaultHandling.Configuration assembly. That assembly provides the custom configuration section as well as hooks into the Enterprise Library configuration tool.
